How to Buy API Credits or Start a Subscription on WhoisFreaks

Now that you’ve signed up and received your API key, the next step is unlocking more access. Whether you want to top up with lifetime credits or subscribe for ongoing use, this guide walks you through the process.

Step 1: Sign In to the Billing Dashboard

Head over to billing.whoisfreaks.com and log in with your account credentials.
Once you’re in, you’ll land on the main Dashboard. If you don’t have an account, create one first by following our getting started guide. Then continue with the steps below.

Step 2: Open the Billing & Subscription Section

Look at the menu on the left-hand side. Click “Billing.”
You’ll be taken to a page that shows all Available Credits & Active Subscriptions.
This will also expand the subsections for subscription types.

Now, click API Packages

Step 3: Choose Between Credits or Subscriptions

Choose the number of credits you need using the slider, and you’ll see three purchase options:

• API Credits – one-time purchase, lasts forever
• Monthly Subscription – billed monthly, auto-renews
• Yearly Subscription – billed once per year, better value (17% off)

Pick the plan that fits your usage:

• Want consistent, ongoing access? Go with Monthly or Yearly Subscription.

• Just need a batch of requests for a specific task? Choose API Credits.

Step 4: Buy Your Plan

Click the “Buy Now” or "Subscribe" button under the plan you want.

You’ll be asked to choose a payment processor.
Currently, Paddle and Stripe are the available options.

You’ll be redirected to a secure Paddle or Stripe checkout page based on the option you select.

Enter your card details and complete the purchase.
Once payment is confirmed, you’ll be automatically redirected back to the dashboard.

Step 5: Confirm Your Purchase

Back in the dashboard, go to Billing --> Your Subscriptions
You’ll see your active product in its respective tab - whether it’s:

• A Subscription (Monthly or Yearly), or
• A Credits Package (with the number of credits listed)

Your account is now active with credits or a subscription, and you’re ready to start making API
